Today's scripture challenges us to work together as a single Christian entity and use our individual talents to reach out to the lost of the world. Whatever your specific talents, and shortcomings, happen to be, team up with others who can complement that talent to plant spiritual seeds in our community and grow God's flock. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. How are we able to approach God with great confidence? Because Jesus stands in our place as intercessor. We do not need to go through a priest or through the Virgin Mary, we have a direct connection into the Holy of Holies.
